Anne Hathaway Unhurt After Stumble on ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Set

Anne Hathaway slipped while descending a short flight of stairs during location filming for "The Devil Wears Prada 2" in New York City on 28 August. Photographs and video show the 42-year-old actor catching her heel, falling to the ground and immediately standing up uninjured, telling crew members she was fine. Footage of the mishap, apparently unscripted, spread quickly online after bystanders and crew captured the moment. Production staff repeated the scene, confirming to onlookers that the fall had not been planned and that Hathaway required no medical assistance. Filming of the sequel—set for a 1 May 2026 theatrical release—continues on schedule. Hathaway reprises the role of Andy Sachs alongside returning cast members Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, with principal photography taking place in New York before moving to Milan and Rome.
