Actor Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, said on Thursday that they have become parents after adopting a baby girl. In a joint Instagram message the 21-year-old “Stranger Things” star and the 23-year-old model wrote, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption… We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.” The couple did not disclose their daughter’s name or further details, asking for privacy as they begin life as a family of three. The adoption is the first child for Brown and Bongiovi, who wed in an intimate ceremony in May 2024 and celebrated with a larger gathering in Tuscany four months later. Bongiovi is the son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi. Brown had signalled her wish to start a family early. In a March 2025 appearance on the “SmartLess” podcast she said she hoped to have a large household, noting that both she and Bongiovi grew up with three siblings and that she viewed adoption and biological parenthood as equally meaningful. Professionally, Brown is due to return to Netflix later this year for the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things,” while also developing projects through her production company. The couple have not indicated whether their parental leave will affect forthcoming promotional plans.
