Marvel Studios’ next ensemble film, “Avengers: Doomsday,” has firmed up several high-profile castings ahead of its 18 December 2026 release. Industry outlets including IGN and The Hollywood Reporter report that Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Deadpool, marking the character’s first appearance alongside the core Avengers lineup in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Separately, multiple trade and fan-site reports say Hugh Jackman is set to return as Wolverine, while Dafne Keen is expected to re-enter the franchise as Laura Kinney/X-23. The additions extend Marvel’s integration of characters acquired from Fox’s former X-Men series and add further star power to a film already slated to feature Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova and Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, among others.
