Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has been cleared to start Tuesday night against the Seattle Storm at Wintrust Arena, returning after a lower-back injury sidelined her for nine of the club’s past 10 games. Reese, 22, last appeared on July 29, when she logged 22 points and 13 rebounds before back tightness forced her out of the lineup. Despite the layoff, the second-year All-Star still holds an active run of 11 consecutive double-doubles—a WNBA record for multiple streaks of at least 10 games in a single season. She is averaging 16.9 points and 13.1 rebounds while shooting 50.9% from the field. Head coach Tyler Marsh said the team took a cautious approach given the long-term risks of back problems, but added that the forward “looked strong” in practice this week. Chicago enters the game at 8-25, eight games behind the final playoff berth with 11 contests remaining.
