Terrence Shannon Jr., a former standout for the University of Illinois men's basketball team and a potential first-round NBA draft pick, has been found not guilty of felony rape and aggravated sexual battery charges in a Kansas court. The charges stemmed from an alleged incident in September in Lawrence, Kansas. Shannon had been suspended indefinitely by Illinois in December and missed six games as a result. Following the verdict, Shannon can now proceed with the pre-draft process. The jury in Douglas County, Kansas, deliberated for less than two hours before delivering the unanimous verdict.
