Chile's Economic Prosecutor Files Antitrust Complaint Against Google Citing Anti-Competitive Practices and Notes Apple's Similar Conduct

Chile's National Economic Prosecutor's Office (Fiscalía Nacional Económica, FNE) has filed a formal complaint against Google before the Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia, citing alleged anti-competitive practices. The FNE's concerns focus on Google's behavior being inconsistent with a network economy model. The lawyer who filed the complaint also noted that Apple's conduct exhibits similar patterns. Additionally, reports indicate that Google recently hired an employee specialized in combating regulatory scrutiny of major tech companies, known as the GAFAM group.
