China's Shenzhou-20 mission has successfully completed its third extravehicular activity (EVA) aboard the country's orbiting space station. The crew, including taikonauts Chen Dong and Wang Jie, conducted a 6.5-hour spacewalk during which they installed debris shields and inspected external equipment. This EVA involved testing new spacesuits and performing drills to maintain physical and mental health, according to the China Manned Space Agency. Meanwhile, China launched the Shiyan-28B (02) satellite on August 17 from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan province using a Long March 4C rocket. This marks China's 46th orbital launch attempt in 2025. The satellite is intended for space environment detection and related technology experiments. The launch was monitored by the Republic of China Armed Forces, which noted the flight path over their southwestern Air Defense Identification Zone toward the Western Pacific and confirmed the altitude was beyond the atmosphere, posing no threat.
