China Evergrande, the heavily indebted property giant, is seeking to recover $6 billion in dividends and remuneration from its founder Hui Ka Yan, four other defendants, and three entities associated with executive director Hui Ka Yan. The company has initiated legal proceedings against seven defendants, including Hui, aiming to reclaim funds allegedly paid out based on misstated financial results prior to its financial collapse. Evergrande has also obtained injunctions against these executives as part of its efforts to recover the funds.
