Researchers have uncovered a three-year cyber espionage campaign by the China-linked Velvet Ant group. The hackers exploited F5 BIG-IP devices to maintain persistence and deployed PlugX malware variants. This multiyear campaign targeted an East Asian firm, demonstrating sophisticated techniques to infiltrate and stealthily steal data. The findings highlight the ongoing threats posed by advanced persistent threat (APT) groups and the importance of robust cybersecurity measures.
