
On November 4, 2024, China's stock markets showed notable gains, with the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index rising more than 5%. The Shanghai Composite Index increased by 1.17%, while the Shenzhen Composite Index rose approximately 2%. The CSI 300 Index also saw a gain of 1.4%. In addition, the Hang Seng Index closed up 0.3%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose by 1.08%. Notably, XPeng's shares surged by 7.7%. Overall, more than 4,300 stocks in China experienced increases. Turnover on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) exceeded 1 trillion yuan for the 25th consecutive trading day. In contrast, U.S. markets faced declines, with the S&P 500 closing 0.3% lower and the Nasdaq falling 0.4% on November 4. However, on November 5, the S&P 500 rebounded, closing 1.2% higher, while the Nasdaq 100 rose by 1.3%.
