China's chip industry, facing a shortage of skilled engineers, has introduced QiMeng, the world's first fully automated AI-driven system for end-to-end processor chip design. Developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, QiMeng autonomously generates processor architectures and software with minimal human input. The system aims to accelerate and streamline semiconductor development while achieving performance levels comparable to those designed manually by human experts.
