
Gangster Prasad Pujari, accused of being involved in several serious crimes including murder, extortion, and kidnapping, has been deported to India from China and was brought to Mumbai on Saturday. The operation was conducted by the Mumbai Crime Branch, with Pujari arriving in Mumbai by midnight. Upon arrival, he was placed under arrest by the Mumbai police. Pujari is to be presented before the Special MCOCA Court. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch officials, including Joint Commissioner Lakhmi Gautam, are investigating eight crimes committed by Pujari. The anti-extortion cell is handling five of these cases, while the unit-7 crime branch is investigating the remaining three.
