Tesla's Cybertruck has officially received a 5-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for both driver and passenger protection, in addition to its overall 5-star rating awarded earlier in February 2025. The Cybertruck is recognized for having the lowest probability of rollover and injury among all pickup trucks tested by the NHTSA. Tesla highlights that its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system contributes to accident avoidance, enhancing safety in daily use and worst-case scenarios. Despite early skepticism about the Cybertruck's safety, it is now regarded as one of the safest trucks tested in the United States. Separately, Tesla is preparing to release a new Model Y L variant in China featuring updated interior options, including a light gray interior and a white interior with increased white trim elements such as armrests, distinguishing it from the current Model Y designs.

I just noticed that the new @Tesla Model Y L with the white interior has a LOT more white trim compared to the current Model Y white interior. On the Model Y L white interior, the following trim pieces are white (instead of black like in the current Model Y): • Arm rests • https://t.co/caPceX9Mhd
