
TSMC's Chairman and CEO, C.C. Wei, reaffirmed expectations for AI development to drive a 2024 industry recovery. Wei discussed plans with OpenAI's Sam Altman for AI-chipmaking fabs and hinted at raising production fees for Nvidia. He also mentioned considering price increases for AI chip production services and already discussing this with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
