Costco Wholesale Corporation reported June net sales of $26.44 billion, marking an 8% increase year-over-year. Comparable sales rose 5.8%, with the U.S. up 4.7%, Canada 6.7%, and international sales increasing by 10.9%. E-commerce sales grew by 11.5%, and when adjusted for gas and foreign exchange, total comparable sales were up 6.2%. Year-to-date sales reached $227.46 billion, also up 8%. Meanwhile, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, reported second-quarter revenue of NT$933.8 billion ($31.9 billion), a 38.6% increase year-over-year, surpassing market estimates of NT$928.2 billion. June revenue was NT$263.71 billion ($9.02 billion), down 17.7% month-over-month but up 26.9% year-over-year. TSMC's first half of 2025 revenue totaled NT$1.77 trillion, a 40% increase compared to the previous year. The strong performance was attributed to robust demand for AI-driven chips, with major customers including Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, and Intel. Additionally, MediaTek reported June revenue of NT$56.434 billion, a 24.9% increase month-over-month and 30.9% year-over-year, marking its highest monthly revenue in 33 months. MediaTek's first half 2025 revenue reached NT$150.368 billion, exceeding previous guidance and representing an 18.1% year-over-year increase.
