Delta Air Lines posted second-quarter adjusted earnings of $2.10 a share on revenue of $15.5 billion, edging past Wall Street estimates despite year-on-year declines of 11% and 1% respectively. Adjusted net income came in at $1.37 billion. The carrier said demand has stabilised since April, with premium-cabin sales growing faster than main-cabin and corporate travel holding steady. On the strength of those trends, Delta reinstated full-year 2025 guidance, projecting earnings of $5.25 to $6.25 a share and free cash flow of $3 billion to $4 billion. For the September quarter it expects earnings of $1.25 to $1.75 a share, revenue up to 4% year-over-year and an operating margin of 9โ11%. The upbeat outlook sent the stock up about 10%โits biggest one-day gain since Aprilโlifting the broader airline sector.
