Dollar Tree has moved Family Dollar to 'discontinued operations,' complicating the analysis of its balance sheet. Despite this, Dollar Tree's guidance for the first quarter indicates expected net sales between $4.5 billion and $4.6 billion, with comparable net sales growth projected at 3% to 5%. This outlook comes as the company has not met this target in the past year, even amid strong consumer demand. Concurrently, MillerKnoll reported third-quarter earnings with consolidated net sales of $876.2 million, reflecting a 0.4% increase. The company anticipates fourth-quarter net sales between $910 million and $950 million, with a gross margin forecasted between 37.5% and 38.5%. Additionally, an iconic retail chain is beginning going-out-of-business sales, although it has not yet filed for bankruptcy.
