
Freshworks Inc. reported first quarter fiscal 2025 revenue of $196.3 million, up 19% year-over-year from $165.1 million. The company delivered non-GAAP earnings per share of 18 cents, exceeding analyst expectations, and shares rose nearly 10% following the results. Freshworks' net loss narrowed sharply, supported by operating efficiency and increased customer adoption of AI-powered solutions. The company now serves 73,000 customers, including 23,275 generating over $5,000 in annual recurring revenue, up 13% from the previous year. Net dollar retention reached 105%. Freshworks raised its outlook, projecting second quarter revenue of $197.3 million to $200.3 million, with non-GAAP earnings per share guidance of 10 to 12 cents. For the full year, revenue guidance was set at $815.3 million to $824.3 million, and non-GAAP earnings per share at 56 to 58 cents. The company launched a new global partner program and announced a strategic partnership with Unisys to enhance IT service management for mid-market and enterprise clients. Cognizant Technology Solutions posted first quarter 2025 revenue of $5.1 billion, a 7.5% year-over-year increase, and net profit of $663 million, up 21%. The quarter saw strong performance in health sciences, with revenue up 11.4%, and financial services, up 6.5%. Products and resources revenue rose 13.6%. Growth was driven by large deals and rising demand for AI-powered IT services, supported by recent acquisitions of Belcan and Thirdera. Cognizant's operating margin improved to 16.7%. Cognizant maintained its full-year revenue guidance and provided Q2 revenue guidance of $5.14 billion to $5.21 billion. The company announced plans to hire 20,000 freshers in 2025, more than double the previous year, ending the quarter with approximately 336,300 employees. Attrition stood at 15.8%, and utilization at 85%. Cognizant continues to invest in AI, reporting about 1,400 early GenAI projects and over 20 agentic AI solutions, including a new AI platform developed with Nvidia. The company also reported 14,000 rejoined employees and 10,000 more in the pipeline.
