
The 'Magnificent 7' stocks, which include major technology companies, have underperformed the S&P 500 by 0.2% in the third quarter of 2024. This marks their first relative decline since the fourth quarter of 2022. Morgan Stanley reports that earnings estimates are rising outside of these seven stocks. Nvidia, one of the 'Magnificent 7', closed the day down nearly 4%. Overall, the 'Magnificent 7' showed a mixed performance at the start of the fourth quarter, with five stocks closing in the red and two in the green. The 'Mag 7 scorecard' reflects this performance.
