$OTIS (-6.4% pre) Otis lowers annual revenue forecast on muted new equipment sales https://t.co/nA0xnp2ekl
Otis Worldwide reported second-quarter revenue of $3.6 billion, unchanged from a year earlier, as slower new-equipment demand in China and the Americas was offset by continued expansion in its higher-margin service business. Adjusted earnings per share rose to $1.05, while GAAP EPS slipped 3% to $0.99. Net income came in at $393 million. Service revenue grew at a mid-single-digit pace and modernization orders increased 22%, helping the elevator maker post what the company called a “double beat” on profit and adjusted earnings. Despite the resilience in service and modernization, Otis cut its full-year 2025 revenue forecast, citing muted demand for new installations. The warning sent the shares down roughly 6% in pre-market trading on Wednesday.
