Sandvik reported its first-quarter results, revealing an adjusted EBITA of 5.768 million SEK, slightly below the expected 5.896 million SEK. The company's sales totaled 29.301 million SEK, falling short of the anticipated 30.715 million SEK. Additionally, Sandvik's order intake reached 32.763 million SEK, also lower than the forecasted 33.647 million SEK. Despite a strong demand in the mining sector, Sandvik noted that its operations in cutting tools and infrastructure continued to be impacted by an uncertain market environment. Following the announcement, Sandvik's shares declined as the revenue figures did not meet expectations. In a related development, Antofagasta's shares also fell due to rising costs, despite positive sales figures.
