($SHOP) reported robust financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024, with total revenue reaching $2.81 billion, a year-over-year increase of 31.16%, surpassing expectations by $82 million. The company's gross merchandise volume (GMV) rose 26% to $94.5 billion, while gross profit grew by 27.3% to $1.352 billion, yielding a gross margin of 48%. Net income nearly doubled, up 96.8% to $1.293 billion. Shopify Payments processed $180.9 billion in transactions during 2024, reflecting a 32% increase from the previous year. The stock price rose approximately 4.6% to over $125, marking a new three-year high, as institutional interest remains strong, with new buyers representing 20% of all holders and 42% of the total shares held. Analysts noted that the company is performing well across various segments, indicating a strong operational momentum.
