Taiwan's leading AI server manufacturers, including Foxconn, Quanta Computer, and Wistron, have collectively announced nearly $600 million in new or expanded investments in the United States to boost AI and quantum computing production. Quanta Computer plans to begin small-volume shipments of Nvidia's GB300-based AI servers by the end of the third quarter of 2025, with AI servers expected to represent 70% of its total server revenue for the year, up from over 60%. Foxconn is projected to start shipping Nvidia GB200/300 server cold plate modules and manifolds in the third quarter of 2025, with output value reaching $100 million by the fourth quarter, accounting for about 10% of its revenue. Demand for Nvidia Blackwell-based AI servers has driven a 27.3% year-on-year increase in July revenue for Taiwan's 'Big 6' server makers—Foxconn, Quanta, Wistron, Inventec, Wiwynn, and Gigabyte—to NT$1.13 trillion ($37.7 billion). Industry-wide demand for CoWoS wafers is forecasted to rise to approximately 625,000 in 2025 and further to 930,000 in 2026, with TSMC contributing around 900,000 wafers. Despite strong demand, third-quarter sales of Nvidia GB300-based AI servers from Quanta are expected to remain flat compared to the second quarter as customers transition to the new product. Market analysts note an accelerating AI infrastructure cycle, with financial institutions adjusting their positions on companies such as Oracle, AMD, and TSMC in response to these developments.
