The company also announced a reduction in its full-year copper production forecast. In contrast, Vale S.A. experienced a 15% drop in net profit for the same quarter, although it managed to beat earnings expectations. Vale's revenue was reported at $9.55 billion, reflecting a 10.07% year-over-year decline, which fell short of estimates by $107 million. Vale's earnings per share (EPS) was $0.56, down 15.15% year-over-year, but still beat expectations by $0.10.
