Premadasa Stadium on Wednesday, with off-spinner Sheikh Mahedi Hasan claiming career-best figures to dismantle the home side’s top order. Left-arm seamer Shariful Islam removed both Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera before Mahedi ran through the middle, dismissing Pathum Nissanka among others as Sri Lanka struggled inside the powerplay. The collapse came despite the recall of former captain Dinesh Chandimal, making his first T20I appearance since February 2022. The three-match series is tied 1–1 after Bangladesh levelled in the second game. A victory in Colombo would give Liton Das’s relatively inexperienced side its first away T20I series win over Sri Lanka.
