Polk County Sheriff Judd reported a successful human trafficking bust operation resulting in hundreds of arrests. An Amarillo man was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after using a chat site for "sexually explicit" conversations with children. A notable case in Hays County involved a former GOP leader who was sentenced to 410 years in prison for sexual abuse of children and child pornography charges. Additionally, a North Texas judge sentenced a repeated predator to a life sentence.
