850 Officers Deployed in Washington D.C. Police Takeover Resulting in 33 Arrests Including 15 Illegal Aliens and Multiple Serious Charges

Following President Trump's federal takeover of the Washington, D.C. police department, a series of law enforcement operations have resulted in multiple arrests and removals in the city. On the first night of the crackdown, approximately 850 officers and agents were deployed across the capital, leading to 23 arrests for offenses including homicide, firearms violations involving six illegal guns, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, lewd acts, stalking, drunk driving, and possession of high-capacity magazines. In subsequent nights, the number of arrests increased, with 45 criminal arrests reported, including charges of first- and second-degree assault and illegal drug distribution, along with the removal of 29 illegal aliens and the seizure of three illegal firearms. On a later night, law enforcement made 33 arrests, 15 of whom were illegal aliens. Among those arrested were individuals charged with murder, rape, assault, and a juvenile carrying a pistol without a license. These operations are part of the administration's effort to restore law and order in the nation's capital.
