ConnectWise ScreenConnect, a remote access tool used by over a million companies, is facing mass exploitation due to two easy-to-exploit flaws (CVE-2024-1709, CVE-2024-1708). Hackers are using these vulnerabilities to deploy ransomware and steal sensitive data. Multiple incidents have been reported of attackers exploiting the vulnerabilities to infiltrate customer networks.
We’ve seen three more incidents of attackers attempting to move deeper into customer networks after exploiting a vulnerability in ConnectWise' ScreenConnect server. Two appeared to be from the same threat actor. /1
