A new phone scam is targeting Irish customers, conning them out of significant amounts of money. According to the Banking and Payments Federation of Ireland (BPFI), individuals are being deceived into losing between €6,000 and €8,000 through fraudulent texts and calls claiming their bank accounts have been hacked.
