Multiple Twitter accounts including those of prominent individuals and organizations have been compromised in a recent wave of hacking incidents. The hackers gained access through the IFTTT app, leading to scam tweets being posted. Affected users are warning others to revoke access to connected apps and be cautious of malicious links.
‼️‼️WARNING‼️‼️ Founders- I’ve seen 5 accounts in the past 2 days that have tweeted malicious links because they had @IFTTT attached to their X accounts. If you have @IFTTT please remove the app!! This is precautionary, but that was the only thing they had in common.
