In San Jose, a former president of an elementary school enrichment program allegedly embezzled over $400,000, as confirmed by police statements on Wednesday. Additionally, a former secretary of the NCJLS has pleaded guilty to a scheme to defraud a nonprofit. Other cases include a former Florida police officer accused of stealing over $50,000 worth of items and a former leader of a Portland nonprofit aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, who was arrested for alleged theft from the organization.
