
A recent investigation by The Guardian and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists has uncovered a financial link between the UK-based cryptocurrency firm Copper and Jonatan Zimenkov, a Russian national who has been sanctioned by the United States. The investigation revealed that Copper moved $4.2 million worth of assets, specifically 1,700 ETH (Ethereum), to a digital wallet associated with Zimenkov. Zimenkov's network, known as the Zimenkov network, has been implicated in various international dealings, including cybersecurity and helicopter sales abroad, as well as attempts to supply weapons to an unnamed African country.
