Jack Dorsey's fintech company, Block, has begun shipping its new self-custody bitcoin wallet named Bitkey. The wallet, which was first introduced in 2022, is designed in a unique hexagon shape and is aimed at providing users full control over their Bitcoin and private keys. Bitkey, described as a rock-like wallet for cold storage, supports integration with Cash App and Coinbase, and comes with a hardware device, mobile app, and recovery tools. The wallet is priced at $150 and can only be purchased with real cash, not cryptocurrency. This move by Block signifies a significant step in offering secure and user-friendly cryptocurrency storage solutions.
