This was followed by another burn of $60 million USDC on May 29, 2024, also on Ethereum. In contrast, Circle minted $250 million worth of USDC on the Solana blockchain on May 29, 2024, adding substantial liquidity to the Solana network. This minting involved 250,000,000 USDC valued at 250,249,999 USD.
