Ethereum Layer 2 project Taiko has announced the launch of its TKO token, with 5% of the initial token supply allocated for an airdrop. The airdrop, which will be available in the summer, is part of Taiko's mainnet deployment strategy. Taiko will kick off its mainnet with zk proving, decentralized sequencing, and an airdrop from the genesis block. Users have 7 days to check their eligibility for the airdrop, and once the claim window opens, eligible users will have one month to claim their tokens. The total token supply for TKO is 1 billion.
