Maple Finance has announced the launch of Syrup, a new protocol designed to unlock institutional yield through secured lending. Syrup combines Maple's established lending infrastructure with the flexibility of decentralized finance (DeFi), allowing users to lend USDC to institutions. The platform promises a 15% yield to DeFi users and introduces a new rewards token, SYRUP, which replaces Maple's previous MPL token. The protocol aims to provide seamless and permissionless access to institutional quality yields. Users can also earn Drips rewards and get early access to the platform.
