





















Mt. Gox, the defunct cryptocurrency exchange, has moved a significant portion of its Bitcoin holdings for the first time in over five years. Approximately 141,686 BTC, valued at around $9.6 billion, have been transferred to new wallets. This movement is part of an effort to prepare for the distribution of funds to creditors, with repayments expected to be completed by October 31, 2024. The transfer has caused a notable impact on the cryptocurrency market, with Bitcoin prices dipping by over 2% to below $68,000. Additionally, Mt. Gox has moved 142,846 BCH, worth approximately $67.9 million, to new addresses. The exchange also transferred 12,240 BTC ($843.6M) and 42,830 BTC ($2.94B) to new wallets, and 750K SOL ($125M) to Binance and Kraken.
