Ethereum Layer 2 project Taiko has announced the launch of its TKO token and a 'genesis airdrop' ahead of its mainnet release. The airdrop, confirmed for the summer, will provide 5% of the initial token supply, which totals 1 billion tokens. Users, including Taiko proposers, provers, bridgoors, developers, GitHub contributors, and those with Galxe points, can check their eligibility for the airdrop. The eligibility checker is now available, and users have seven days to check their eligibility. Once the claim window opens, eligible users will have one month to claim their tokens.
