Vitalik Buterin proposed the first mainnet block for Taiko. Backed by Wintermute Ventures, Taiko is an open-source, permissionless Ethereum-equivalent ZK-Rollup designed to enhance Ethereum's scalability while maintaining its core properties. Taiko operates through community-driven governance, ensuring that all operations are managed by the community.
