



On April 1st at 1:21 UTC+8, Tether, the company behind the USDT stablecoin, significantly increased its Bitcoin holdings by acquiring an additional 8,888 to 8,890 BTC, with reported values ranging from $600 million to $630 million. This purchase brings Tether's total Bitcoin assets to approximately 75,354 BTC, valued at around $5.2 to $5.35 billion. The transaction was sourced from the Bitfinex hot wallet. Following this acquisition, Tether's total assets now stand at $7.64 billion, including the newly purchased Bitcoin and 1.74 billion USDT. This move has positioned Tether as the 7th largest Bitcoin holder globally, with the average purchase price of the Bitcoin being reported as $30,305.
