
Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has announced plans to invest over $1 billion in various deals over the next year. According to CEO Paolo Ardoino, the investment will be channeled through Tether's venture capital arm and will focus on financial infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology sectors, particularly in emerging markets. This move follows Tether's expenditure of approximately $2 billion over the past two years. The company will allocate funds among startups from hundreds of venture proposals. Additionally, Tether is set to unveil a new class of digital assets products on June 17th, as part of its broader investment strategy.
