Disney Channel and Disney+ have officially greenlit a sequel series to 'Wizards of Waverly Place,' featuring original stars Selena Gomez and David Henrie. The series, which has received a series order, will begin production next month in Los Angeles, with a scheduled release this fall. The sequel, tentatively titled 'Wizards,' will follow Justin Russo as he navigates life without his powers, alongside his wife and sons, until a young wizard in need of guidance appears. Selena Gomez is set to appear in the pilot episode and, along with Henrie, will also serve as an executive producer.
