Avalanche, a blockchain network, has experienced substantial expansion in decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3 gaming sectors. The DeFi protocol Euler integrated with Avalanche last month and has since reached $63 million in total value locked (TVL) on the network, later surpassing $200 million in deposits within three weeks. Euler's lending platform supports real-world assets (RWAs) through stablecoins such as AUSD, USDT, and USDC, making Avalanche the second-largest blockchain supported by Euler after Ethereum. Euler has $1.5 billion in TVL across networks. The protocol has also introduced $200,000 in AVAX rewards for lenders of savUSD and borrowers of USDT. Avalanche's DeFi TVL stands at $1.3 billion, with an RWA asset value of $159 million. Avant, another DeFi protocol on Avalanche, has scaled to $43 million in TVL, focusing on dollar-denominated assets. In Web3 gaming, MapleStory N, the first blockchain-powered edition of the long-running MapleStory franchise, is scheduled to launch on Avalanche on May 15. Developed by Nexpace and backed by Nexon, MapleStory N will use its own dedicated Avalanche Layer 1 chain, Henesys, and will be available on PC. The game enables players to mint, own, and trade in-game items on-chain, features a community-driven economy, and integrates anti-cheat technology via AvaCloud. Players can also earn token rewards by creating content. The MapleStory franchise has over 250 million users worldwide. The upcoming launch of MapleStory N follows playtesting that generated 31.5 million on-chain transactions and nearly one million digital wallets registered. MapleStory N is part of the broader MapleStory Universe ecosystem.
