Blockchain security firm CertiK said early on 20 Aug. that the website and social-media account of DeFi platform Puffer Finance had been compromised, urging users to ignore all posts and avoid interacting with the service until the issue is resolved. Cyber-intelligence group SlowMist issued a similar warning minutes later, saying both the puffer.fi domain and the platform’s X account were under the control of unknown parties. The firms did not specify how the breach occurred or whether customer assets were affected. Puffer Finance has not yet commented.
