Sei Network has unveiled its latest technological upgrade, Sei Giga, which is positioned as the world's fastest EVM Layer 1 blockchain. The upgrade features a multi-proposer consensus mechanism, enabling the network to achieve transaction speeds of up to 250,000 transactions per second (TPS) with sub-400 millisecond finality. This advancement represents a significant step beyond incremental blockchain scaling solutions by allowing multiple blocks to be processed simultaneously. Sei Network has also experienced a 73% increase in unique active wallets, reaching 1.66 million, with over $18 billion in decentralized application (dApp) activity in the past week. Gaming applications on the network currently have around 460,000 users. Daily active addresses have risen by 38% to over 462,000, with daily transactions increasing by 43% to more than 1 million, indicating strong and growing usage. In parallel, the HyperEVM ecosystem, integrated with several protocols and supported by wallets such as Rabby and Okto, is gaining traction. HyperEVM's growth is driven by new protocols and has seen increased daily transactions, with Trondao's daily transactions rising 60% from 5.68 million to 9.1 million since February. These developments highlight Sei Network's and HyperEVM's expanding presence and innovation in the blockchain space.
