
AI-capable personal computers accounted for 14% of global PC shipments in the second quarter of 2024, with a total of 8.8 million units shipped, according to research firm Canalys. Apple dominated the market, capturing 60% of AI PC shipments, while Microsoft held a 39% share. Microsoft's Copilot+ PCs also saw 127% growth. Canalys predicts a substantial ramp-up in device availability and end-user adoption in the latter half of 2024.
