
Private equity firm Bain Capital is set to acquire Envestnet, a U.S. financial software vendor, in a deal valued at $4.5 billion. The transaction will take Envestnet private and is backed by a group of investors, including BlackRock and Fidelity Investments. Envestnet, which provides technology and solutions to the wealth management industry, has a market value of approximately $3.5 billion. The agreement, valued at $63.15 per share, was confirmed by Envestnet on Thursday.
