Duolingo reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2024, surpassing market expectations. The company achieved earnings per share (EPS) of $0.51, exceeding the estimated $0.32. Revenue rose by 41% year-over-year to $178.3 million, beating the forecasted $177.09 million. Duolingo's adjusted EBITDA reached $48.1 million, significantly higher than the anticipated $38.6 million. The language-learning platform also reported substantial user growth, with daily active users increasing by 59% to 34.1 million and monthly active users rising by 40% to 103.6 million. Additionally, Duolingo's net income was $24.351 million, above the expected $15.8 million. Total bookings amounted to $190.092 million, and the number of paid subscribers grew by 52% year-over-year to 8 million. The company's stock saw a post-market increase of 5%. Duolingo provided a positive outlook for the third quarter, projecting revenue between $186.7 million and $189.7 million.
