Herb Greenberg, who had flagged ERIE a week ago, noted the irony of its inclusion given its issues. ERIE's stock has been performing well, with a 3.5% increase in pre-market trading. Other companies joining the S&P 500 include Apollo Global, Coinbase, and Workday. Meanwhile, American Airlines Group, Etsy, and Bio-Rad Laboratories are being removed from the index.
