The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken significant enforcement actions against the sale of ZYN nicotine pouches to underage customers. Between October 2023 and February 2024, the FDA issued 119 warning letters and filed 41 civil money penalty complaints against sellers. Additionally, three online retailers received warning letters for selling unauthorized, flavored ZYN nicotine pouches. These measures highlight the FDA's ongoing efforts to combat underage nicotine use and regulate the sale of nicotine products.
